Southend surfed in heat 6 up against previous Surftag winners Bronte. The other teams, Newport and Mona vale. With conditions deteriorating through out the arvo there were waves to be had. In the words of The Greek God Brad K, 'This is anybody's for the taking, maybe second place, Brontes going really good.'

Which left Southend, Newport and Mona vale to sort the order.

The team in order of surfing, Shane Booth, Adam Seminara, Luke Fletcher, Gustavo Bertotto, and Matt O, finished the heat within the allocated time. just.

Final points for heat 6 went like this; 1 Bronte - 100.4, 2 Mona Vale - 68.84, 3 Southend - 48.61, and 4 Newport - 45.54. Top 2 team qualify for Sunday finals.

A big thank you to all the Southend members that came down to cronulla on Saturday to help cheer on your club and enjoy another nice day at the beach.
