In 2009 we had a few of the more experienced surfers such as Plattsy, Wez and Boothy join with some of the younger guys – in 2010 we are really excited to include some of our finest and youngest surfers, including Harry Bartlett and Hank Hartley. At 14, both of these guys show enormous promise and we hope will relish the opportunity to surf alongside some of the best surfers from our club -  from Australia and Indonesia, including many ex-WCT and current WQS stars. The nominated 11 person team (including three reserves) is Hank, Harry, Semo, Fletch, Gustavo, Boothy, Karl, MattO, Ku, Blake Garnett and Wes. The Kirra club are going all out this year and asides from the surfing there is a bunch of amazing events planned to keep you busy over the entire weekend.

So if you can get your leave pass for the weekend, grab a cheap Virgin Blue flight up to the Goldy, sleep on a couch or park bench if you have to, but don’t miss what is an awesome weekend and a great opportunity for our young guns to stick it to the other clubs. The boys will be staying at the Coolangatta Ocean View Hotel again so if you want to book a room check their website for more details
