It all started a few years back in 2008 when we finally got a start at this event. Back then Plattsy, Wez and Boothy showing a bunch of the younger groms how it was done. Fast forward to 2011 and Southends best surfers are ready to take on the best surfers from all over Australia and Indonesia, including ex-World Champs, ex-WCT and current WQS stars, all chasing the most coveted team trophy there is. The Kirra Teams trophy.
The Kirra club are again going all to make the event bigger and better than last year. Asides from the surfing there is a bunch of amazing events planned to keep you busy over the entire weekend.
