Thanks to those who made the trip up to Pacific Palms for the last comp of the 2009 season. The waves were only small but we were still able to run all divisions (we will have to wait and see if the bonus 200 points and relatively smaller heat draws may have made a difference to over-all standings in each division).

As usual, wildlife featured on the trip with numerous dolphin and whale sightings, bucket loads of ticks (one suicidal one made it into El Presidente Wez’s butt cheek), 3 angry dingos that bailed up Andrew Kennedy and his dog on Treachery Beach and a confirmed report of the common red crested drunkasaurus in the roadside bushes between the Rec club and Bluey’s. Hope all who came had a good time!

Remember that the groms presentation is on this Saturday (November 7) up in front of South Maroubra Surf Club. It will kick off at 10am with warm-ups on the mechanical bull leading up to a longest-stayer competition. As usual we will have food, drinks, music and a bunch of trophies and prizes from our awesome sponsors. Hope to see all of you young guys and girls (and parents) there to help wrap up the 2009 competitive season.

Cheers,
The committee

How good is the Pacific palms bowlo....It makes the pig scene in Deliverance look like day out in the park!
