A Small southerly swell built through the day along with a howling southerly and a rain shower every hour. Still, the turn up was good with all divisions competing just off the surf club at the wrong end of the beach.

Micro Boys and Girls:
Brad Koolis took a walk up the beach with the littlest groms catching some great waves. Kirra Richards was a stand out in the girls as was Tye Koolis for the guys.

Cadets:
A close contest once again, it was hard to split the top three. In the end Nick Kennedy ran away with it followed by Jack Clifford and then Rory McGovern. Great effort by the young guys in testing conditions.

Junior Girls:
Another close match between the girls with Tori picking up the winning waves but Hayley was right on her tail.

Junor Boys:
Moments before taking to the water Jake Nurmi snapped his stick riding some killer shoreys up the beach. He managed to tackle a 4"2' board, rumour has it, from the Kennedy boys just in time for the final. Jake still managed to ride it to victory after a close tussle with Hank Hartley.

Women's: It was a family affair in the wonens division with some excellent waves by the Miley-Dyer twins. Phoebe just managed to take out the final after some quality lengthy rides.

Opens: Another close battle with Australia vs Brazil- Karl Richards taking out his first final for the season for the Aussies. With Platts awayin Indo Gustavo ran a close second with some stand-out maneouvres from all competitors.

Senior Men's:
The natural-footer Con took on the goofy-Ranga Richard in a classic final. Con displayed some great back-hand surfing as Rich's wave selection was top notch. In the end the Yak was Back and enjoyed the celebrations at the presentation and hickey celebrated well into the night after making his first final in two years!

Grand Masters: The weather was a little different to the past 4 weeks Graeme O'Reilly had spent in Indonesia, and perhaps that gave Tom North the edge in this closely contested final. Conditions deteriorated fast by the time the old guys hit the water but they still managed to pick up a few good waves.
