Southend Boardriders want to thank all of the Mo team that sacrificed their good looks and love live’s temporarily to make a difference for a worthwhile cause. November is generally a busy time for us all, both personally and professionally and we understand that it wasn’t an easy thing to do by any means. Now it is December a few of us have finally been able to return back to our normal appearances and remove that hideous facial hair that took over our melons for the last 4 or 5 weeks. We did manage to raise a heap of cash for charity along the way though and should be very proud of what we achieved.
Our dedicated Mo bro and Mo Sista Team consisted of (in order of joining) Matt Lawson, Jodie Lawson, Steven Attwood, Max De Luca, Matty O, Richard Cass, Ronnie Smith, Simon Ferguson, Craig Mashman, Kate Cass, Weston Moore, Jeni Lee, Hayden Robinson, Paul Mills, Jason Petroni and Mark Thompson. To see how we went please check out http://au.movember.com/mospace/team/
Every cent really did count and make a difference and all of you who donated or grew a Mo played their part in raising funds and awareness for a couple of very serious diseases. I hope good karma blesses you all and you never have to use the services that we contributed towards and raised awareness for…. In saying all that though, a few of the boys really did outdo themselves with Paul Mills raising a whopping $326 on his 'Pat Malone' with Epic only a few dollars behind raising over $300 also. For a bunch of Maroubra surf board riders I think we did a bloody fantastic job and it was an all-round great team effort .You can all hold your heads high doing yourself, your community and Southend Boardriders proud and once again we really want to thank everyone that chipped in to the cause in any way that you could.
