Now that I have your attention check out how you can help your club raise cash by only eating sausages and drinking beer

The end of our season is fast approaching and with only 2 comp remaining the race is on for the titles in all divisions. This Saturday 27^th Sept we will hold our final event at Maroubra before we travel away to Pacific Palms Forster for the final event of the season on the 18^th October.

Just a reminder that the final competition will be held at Boomerang Beach on October 18 2008. The weekend falling on the 18th is actually out of the school holidays and prices for accom are very reasonable. The away comp is always one of the highlights of the year with everyone always having a great time not to mention the EPIC waves we have scored for the last 22 years straight. We will be meeting at the Southern Platform of Boomerang Beach at 7.30am and make the call from there on where the comp will be held.

SDS have sent through this years Discount Cards for use at all their stores. Southend members will now receive 15% off all purchases.

Once again we were greeted by next to nothing swell wise for our August comp. High tide was due to hit about 8:30am and we were looking at a BBQ brekky but not much else as far as the comp was concerned. A few small waves middle to north were enough to convince the crew to get started around 9am

We have been in touch with the good folks at Mobys Caravan park at Pacific Palms with regards to giving Southend Members a good deal on accommodation for our last comp of the year on the 18th October 08

This year Southend will be registering a team for the world renowned fundraiser Movember in order to give something back to the community and specifically help to improve the state of men's health.
