Last Saturday our 2 Gromtag teams along with a busload of supporters travelled over the bridge to Avalon to compete in the prestigious O Neill Gromtag Event.

2008 was a great year for Southend Boardriders. We have now been around for 24 consecutive year and general consensus from members, parents and sponsors was that this year was one of the most enjoyable and successful seasons in the clubs history. The Sands Paul Baxter Shield event again was a huge success and all that attended the annual presentation held at Byrne Reserve enjoyed great laughs great food beer wine and the tunes from DJ Adam Semo and DJ Riley Kellick were all time.
