As 10 - 12ft waves are crashing on the beach at Maroubra what is happening to our otherwise most crapulent of banks? Is enough sand getting dredged from the channel between the reef and the bowl? Will we be seeing two weeks of superbank perfection or straighthanders as far as the eye can see? Will only time reveal the answers to these and more exciting questions? Or, do you the locals have an insight into what we might expect? Do my job for me and report what is going on down in Southend Town.

Looks like you were spot on DC. Nothing but straight handers have evolved from the large swell we received. Atleast there's a really shallow bank out the front of the clubhouse, so I'll have something to report on after the next comp ... broken legs and dislocated shoulders I suspect.
