To become a member of Southend Boardriders for the 2010 surfing season you will need to come down, sign up and register on Saturday March 06, 2010. The new look committee will be taking registrations and membership fees between 12pm & 2pm. Come down and join us for a bbq and a few tunes.

Membership categories, ages and fees are as follows:

§  Micro Boys (Under 10)            $60

§  Micro Girls (Under 10)             $60    

§  Cadets (10 - 13)                       $60

§  Junior Girls (10 - 13)                $60

§  Junior Boys (14 - 17)                $60

§  Open Women’s (14+)               $60

§  Open Men’s (18 - 34)               $90

§  Senior Men’s (35 - 45)              $90

§  Grand Masters (46+)                $90

§  Social Member                          $50

§  Family (1 Adult, 2+ Kids)          $160

The age you turn in any calendar year is the age that determines your division, for example, a surfer currently aged 9 and turning 10 this year will need to surf in the cadets division. Surfers in the Micro, Cadet and Junior divisions are able to surf up a division if they wish. Surfers in the Grand Masters or Senior Men’s can opt to compete in the Opens division.

For insurance reasons in 2010 you will definitely need to be a financial member before surfing in any competitions or to participate in any Southend events, no exceptions! All members (including Social members) receive a t-shirt, stickers as well as food and drinks at the competitions throughout the year and discounted entry to the Paul Baxter Shield retro tag team comp in July (Sands Hotel Paul Baxter Shield). Competing membership includes entry to all comps and insurance for when you surf.
