ASL’s 250’th Issue
To celebrate 24 years of magazine making, we have gone above and beyond to bring you whats going down in Australian surfing right now.   We loaded up a dodgy Indonesian plane and island hop to Sumbawa with Mick Fanning Mark Occhilupo Stephanie Gilmore, Bede Durbidge and Ozzie Wright recording every angle with film stills and ink. Resident Southend cameraman Jimmy Gibson was also on hand in Sumbawa to capture these freaks ripping Lakeys to bits. Check out his pics in our Gallery section under the tab Indo 09 

Comp 2 Wrap up
Solid waves have continued for us with plenty of waves thumping into Maroubra for our second competition of 2009. We definately were not dissapointed as the day provided a little bit of everything with plenty of action both in the water and on the sand. There were plenty of broken surf boards, a mass surf rescue and of course a few blow-ups inside the judges tent.
